The Founding Story
Oxford Recruitment was founded by a team that understood a fundamental problem in technical recruitment: generalist agencies simply don't have the scientific knowledge to properly assess candidates in advanced materials and engineering.
Our co-founder holds a PhD in materials science from the University of Oxford, with a thesis focused on the microstructural characterisation of advanced ceramics. After years of watching brilliant scientists placed in wrong-fit roles by recruiters who couldn't distinguish between oxide and non-oxide ceramics, the decision was made to build something better.
We combined deep scientific expertise with a rigorous personality assessment methodology, creating a recruitment approach that evaluates both technical competence and cultural compatibility.
